Our Core Principles

How we think about software, infrastructure, and engineering challenges.

Zero Latency Overhead

Every millisecond counts. We engineer everything with the edge in mind, maintaining strict performance baselines.

Developer-First APIs

We build APIs that we would love to use. No bloated SOAP/XML, no complex setup. Just drop-in requests that return in under 30ms.

Distributed Thinking

We run our scoring loop on V8 isolates. We solve problems by distributing computing power closest to the user.

Open Positions

We look for founders, autonomous builders, and deep generalists. Explore our active role below.

Product Marketing Manager (PMM) — Developer Growth

Growth

We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to lead our growth efforts, own developer-centric positioning, draft clear technical copywriting, and build campaign funnels that speak directly to engineers, security practitioners, and product leaders.

Skala is highly technical. You will be marketing a system designed to scale to 2.4 billion requests per month at the V8 isolate edge layer. You'll need to understand what developer-first API latency means and how it compares to legacy origin-hosted rules engines.

What You'll Do:

  • Translate edge-native mechanics (like WebAssembly scoring, Cloudflare D1 buffering) into clear, compelling messaging.
  • Own the product launch schedule, writing release announcements, changelogs, and core features content.
  • Scale our technical blog publications, content strategy, and community-driven organic outreach.
  • Collaborate with product developers to create code-focused marketing material, demos, and comparisons.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in product marketing, developer relations, or technical writing for developer tools / SaaS.
  • A deep understanding of developer communities, API integrations, or cloud infrastructure environments.
  • High capability of explaining complex technical systems simply and effectively.
  • Exceptional copywriter with a portfolio of developer-facing guides, newsletters, or docs.
